Summer in Mississippi

Summer in Mississippi is when we all seem to be looking for something to do.  While many people will complain about being bored and having nothing to do, I can assure you that there is ALWAYS something to do in Mississippi! Not to mention a good dose of vitamin D, there are an endless amount of smells, sounds, and colors that will get your imagination going and stimulate your senses. This is especially important in babies and small children, as stimulating the senses is essential in development. The need for brain stimulation in older adults is also helpful in aiding those suffering from Alzheimer's, and preventing depression.  Go on a hike, visit a park, or take a walk in your own backyard. Most communities have some type of public garden. Farmers Markets are also a great place to take a walk, even if you don't want to buy any yummy fruits and vegetables.  No matter where you are in this state, there is beauty in everything if you take the time to see it
